SOUTH Port | Ashdod

The new South Port is a commercial seaport north of the Port of Ashdod and near the Eshkol Power Plant, as part of a comprehensive plan that will provide a response to the needs of the economy in the field of maritime trade, to increase the size of ships and to strengthen Israel's economy which depends on its maritime gateways. As part of the construction of the weighing and departure docks, two huge roofs were covered with an aluminum shell, which include a tray ceiling with clearances for lighting fixtures and a rounded cornice.
