WAHL Center | Bar-Ilan

The Wahl Center was established with a huge investment in the Bar Ilan University complex. The building is similar in appearance to the Jewish Museum in Berlin, which was also designed by the master architect Daniel Libeskind. The unique project is considered one of the most complex projects in Israel and in the world in terms of exterior cladding. Most of the walls in the project are sloped with varying slopes, which required the use of advanced 3D laser equipment in order to characterize Every point in the space of the concrete walls and in order to achieve absolute precision in the execution of the aluminum coverings. The prominent motif in the project is the use of composite panels made of Alukobond, all parallel and trapezoidal, which were assembled diagonally to the existing walls, which made the execution significantly more difficult. The project won the architecture award The prestigious RIBA International Awards 2006.
